Ants in my proverbial pants

I'm wearing a Nantucket Naugs outfit today. Flip flops, my khaki short shorts, my salmon colored funky insignia-ed Polo Rugby t-shirt, and a no-rush attitude.

Nantucket Naugs always accessorized with a "let it be" sort of swagger.

And I'm itching to book a flight, lease a house, pencil in a beach day... it's so funny. It's so much a part of my nature I think to yearn to live on the academic calendar.

I can feel May's approach in my bones.

Cross your fingers folks that Memorial Day sees me flown to LA for my "AFTER" shoot, because something's gotta give and I gotta go!

Girls to Women

So funny. My little sisters are little women.

Last night I spent an extra 2 hours at the kitchen table talking with them & my mom into the wee hours of the morning after our various home friends had come and gone and chatted over cookies on Elsworth. And this morning I marveled at how fun it is to be sisterfriends with the two of them.

Such a gift :)

So Spring has officially Sprung, and a glutton for punishment/sucker for set ups, I've gone ahead and given my number out to a few folks with fellas they know who'd like to go ahead and step up to bat as they say aka - take me out on dates.

Why? Because much as I didn't see it coming, I guess I'm game to go back on the market. I love being wined & dined, and I'm open to the stars aligning and romance walking back into my life. Spring is in the air and so why not really?

I'm sure there'll be noteworthy Naugaliscious adventure posts to come.

The Dawn of a new Naugs

Ha... I almost just used my real name in the Title of this post because I so love alliteration and the D might have been a nice nod to Dawn but then the N's of new and Naugs will work fine.

What am I babbling on about - this is the iced coffee delivered to my door by the bff talking.

AND SPEAKING OF DELIVERIES....

guess what else got dropped at my doorstep today!? That's right...my new macbookpro.

AHHHHH

and guess what else

I realized today that "my golden birthday," my induction to my prime... it's on 11/27/11... as in I'm turning 27 on 11/27/11.

Does it get any better?

When I get my macbook

I'll be this girl allllll over again: Fo' real.... Like I can do anything good kind of cool, confident and best off CREATIVE. Mac's are what I wrote my typed my first stories on in the public schools of good old Newton, MA. Carrie Bradshaw had a mac. And while mine will technically be the property of the Co. at large, or the Inc. rather, I think it will still infuse me with limitless ability in the art realm. I'll be agent extraordinaire and I'll be my own best friend when I start editing a reel, a final draft of the book, and my exorbitant amount of inappropirate facebook picture tags. Holllerrrrrrr

Phone'll jingle, door'll knock...

It's an anything can happen kind of week in NYC.

It keeps starting out gray and then ending up sunny by midday. There's speculation that Matt Lauer is leaving the Today show when his contract is up in December of 2012 (which means I've got a year and a half wide window of opportunity to secret myself onto the show while in my and its prime), and I swear, big things are being put in the motion at the moment.

Plateaus be gone and Boston for my mom's show, here I come... I'm packing whole wheat flour, Splenda's brown sugar substitute, applesauce, ground flax seed, pro-biotics and a food & a people scale for the 3 day jaunt, but I still think I'll feel lighter walking through the Elsworth door than I have in a year.

And hey, so how fun is this?? We re-mounted From Beantown to the Big Apple and booked a follow up gig from it at a fundraiser next month.

nbd, just saying, what's to stop us from booking one way tix of our own on the train to success?

Holding Pattern

HELP! I've plateaued. I mean, c'est la vie, so I'm not actually asking for help, I'm just airing the reality of my existing situation, and I genuinely trust what I was told this AM, that: "hitting a pleateau is awesome though it means you've gained a lot and that any more gains are going to be much more difficult and incremental..." Even though technically I'm going for loss not gain - it's gains in general ... positive results. And hey let's hope that's where these next two months take me... up, up and away... to the Heights even!
